Who Am I and Why Am I Here?
Card of the Day
“Don’t you think that is a bit philosophical to ask right NOW?”. Oh my, Grandmommy can imagine that thing that thinks in your head, or somewhere inside that space suit you live in, might be chattering that out loud.
Well it has always seemed to Grandmommy, that a child is closer to knowing where she came from or where she is going, as soon as she touched base with us…and hey, Grandmommy is hoping, that as a parent you will stop and ask this question of yourself everyday, after all you are not the same as you were before becoming a Daddy and you keep making changes, some good, some not so good, if you are like most of us earth bound people called parents.
Just consider how we want to mold our children to be just like us, however, they already have their own dreams and desires, yet often, we don’t take the time to find out what the kid wants, and why is that? Perhaps because we were brainwashed by the movie Father Know Best? Well, Fathers do know a big huge amount, some more scholarly than others, but Grandmommy wants to give you a hint, our children are here to teach us too.
Now here is another one of pondering thoughts; they want to mold us into what they thought the idea of a parent is to them when they showed up on planet earth, ready to take the biggest adventure of all, isn’t that a paradox and worth considering a bit?
So begin to ask them, so they can ponder at bedtime too, “who are we and why are we here”. A great tool to use to find the right answer and will give that little darling the Kiss of Bliss, has been taught for thousands of years and it is…
LOVE ONE ANOTHER as thyself.
When you don’t leave one sentient being out of the definition of “another”, and you have fallen in love even with your enemy, then you will discover that there is no self with a capitol I, because we all all one.
Suggest to your little tiny one, that we are here to serve each other. Just like on Mother’s day when the family gathers around to honor her and give her a big o day off. It makes mommy feel good but even more important than that, it makes a child feel good too, to do for someone who does so much for them.
At four or seven years of age it is a very important tool to practice because by the time they or forty or seventy too it will be a natural thing for them to serve you and their community and you know who. Well, who knows, maybe they will be serving mankind in the most loving and altruistic way, and that we have peace on earth, so remember to teach them now and send them on their way.
