Card of the Day
So I have an irritating person in my life because I was irritating in the past?!
Good to know! Don’t you think?
It is a cycle, like that wheel on your trike or bike, that goes round and round. Another word to use is karma.
It is important to learn how we make karma. It is made from thoughts in our head, or words we have said and the things we do. If we stay loving and kind then nothing will go wrong and that is called good karma and you want to make lots and lots of good karma!
Tonight have a little discussion, about how important it is to become aware of the thoughts that pop up and words that pop out. Sometimes Grandmommy has to stop and ask the thinker in her head where in the heck did that thought come from? By being aware of the thoughts that the automatic thinker is thinking, you can change them real quick. It is a slick little trick and if you practice with the tool of “awareness” you will surely succeed.
It is your choice to think happy, rather than sad or mad. But first, that thinker we call our mind has to be trained to be aware of the thoughts that want to make us be not so nice or make us cry, and ouch, sometimes that thinker gets itself in such a state that it causes you to create bad karma. That karma will come around back at you unless you can become aware in time to stop those words before they can come out.
Ok, here is one little teeny tiny fun game to play with your children any time during the day. Now they have to be old enough to count to ten but here are the rules so you can learn to play. Each of you sit in a comfortable position, most kids like to sit on the floor, and I have to admit that is Grandmommy’s favorite too!
Now close your eyes and take a nice long deep breath in, then exhale and count one, then inhale again, and on the exhale count two, until you reach the number ten. Now if you lose count of your breath before you get to ten then start all over again! Easy you think, for sure you will be the one to win, after all you are all grown up and ten counts of the breath will be a snap.
Perhaps, but during the game your mind will start to chatter those thoughts about yesterday or perhaps about tomorrow, just a hoping that it will throw your awareness off your breath, make counting off track, and it will win again! Sometimes it will chatter so loudly that you might even find your counting has made it all the way to ten times ten or even more!
Well, then start all over again.
